Handfasting (Tying the Knot)
An ancient Celtic tradition where your hands are gently bound together with coloured ribbons or cords to symbolise your union. It’s where the phrase “tying the knot” actually comes from!
Sand or Unity Candle Blending
Blending different coloured sands into a single keepsake vessel, or lighting a central candle together. This is a perfect visual way to symbolise the blending of two families or involving children.
Ring Warming
Before you exchange your vows, your wedding bands are passed among your guests so they can silently whisper their love, blessings, and good wishes into them.

We start with a complimentary, relaxed catch up over a coffee or a glass of wine. It’s a chance to share your wedding or vow renewal ideas, see if we click, and officially lock in your date.

Deep dive & discovery
Once you’re booked in, we’ll have a longer conversation to really uncover your unique love story. I’ll use a few gentle questionnaires to make sure we capture all the hopes, laughter, romance, and “magic” you want for your day.

Crafting your unique script
I’ll weave everything we’ve discussed into a bespoke ceremony script written entirely from scratch. From here, we have unlimited edits, I’ll keep refining the words until they feel exactly like you. No templates, just your voice.

Support & logistics
As we get closer to the big day, I’ll be by your side to help with vow writing, choosing readings, or coordinating your symbolic rituals. I’ll also liaise directly with your venue coordinator and suppliers so you don’t have to worry about the “how.”
5.
Your ceremony, your way
On the day, I’ll arrive early to ensure everything is perfectly set up, then deliver a warm, sincere, and joyful ceremony. Afterwards, you’ll receive a beautiful digital keepsake copy of your unique script to cherish forever.

How much do your wedding and vow renewal ceremonies cost?
My bespoke wedding, elopement, and vow renewal ceremonies start from £600. This baseline covers our initial catch-up, our deep-dive discovery session, a completely custom-written script from scratch with unlimited edits, and delivery of the ceremony on the day. Because every love story is completely unique, I will provide a clear, tailored quote after our initial friendly chat based on your specific location and any complex elements you’d like to include.
Do we have to get married at a licensed venue?
No, not at all! Because you handle the legal paperwork separately at a registry office, a celebrant-led ceremony can take place absolutely anywhere. Whether you dream of a woodland clearing, a private back garden, a dramatic clifftop, or a favourite local pub, there are zero licensing restrictions holding you back.
Can you help us write our wedding vows?
Absolutely. Writing your vows can feel incredibly daunting, but you don’t have to face a blank page alone. I can provide templates, prompts, and inspiration, or look over what you’ve written to help you fine-tune the words until they say exactly what you mean them to.
What is the difference between a wedding and an elopement ceremony?
It mostly comes down to the scale and the focus. A wedding ceremony is typically a larger celebration shared with a room full of family and friends. An elopement focuses entirely on the two of you, skipping the fuss for an intimate, deeply romantic moment, often in a unique outdoor location with just a couple of witnesses.
Can we involve our children or pets in the service?
Yes, please! I love involving family members. Children can play a wonderful role in symbolic rituals like sand blending, and dogs make fantastic ring-bearers. Your ceremony is built from scratch, so if a loved one (two-legged or four-legged) belongs in your story, we will find the perfect way to include them.
How do symbolic rituals work during the ceremony?
Rituals like handfasting or ring warming are woven naturally into the service, usually right before or after you exchange your rings and vows. They take about 5–10 minutes, add a beautiful visual and emotional element to the day, and make for incredible photographs. I will guide you and your guests through them seamlessly.
What happens if our ceremony is outdoors and it rains?
Living in the UK, a backup plan is always a good idea! We will chat through a “Plan B” during our coordination phase. As long as your venue or location has a sheltered area, a marquee, or a cozy indoor alternative we can pivot to, your ceremony will be just as magical and beautiful.
